Wish I Could Think of a Title

Writer's block is a condition in which an author (or in this case a blogger) loses the ability to produce new work or experiences a creative slowdown. Even Charles M. Schultz, the great cartoonist, experienced writer’s block during his career.

Writersdigest.com lists seven ways to overcome writer’s block:

  • Step away from whatever you are writing and do anything that is creative.

  • Do free writing.

  • Move your body.

  • Eliminate distractions.

  • Write early in the morning.

  • Write while you sleep.

  • If nothing else works, I resort to my number one lethal weapon to cure writer’s block: The glass-of-water technique. Before bed, fill up a glass of water, hold it and speak an intention. Example: My intent is to tap into my creative source and write brilliantly tomorrow.

I guess tonight I will be talking to a glass of water!
