IMDB: In a city of humanoid animals, a hustling theater impresario's attempt to save his theater with a singing competition becomes grander than he anticipates even as its finalists' find that their lives will never be the same.
I recently saw the movie "Sing". The characters are all animals that like to sing. It was sort of like their previous film "Secret Life of Pets", it was bittersweet. The owner of the theatre needs some money so he has a singing contest. He's not 100% friendly. The office manager made a major typing error saying that the prize was $100,000 when he only meant for it to be $1000. He had lots of contestants. Things were going well up until the day before the competition, when the theatre got flooded and exploded and was destroyed. They held the competition anyway, people loved it, and the theatre was rescued and got restored.
I somewhat liked the music, especially "Shake it Off". I liked some of the characters, the snail was hilarious.
I didn't like the major plot. I don't think I would recommend the movie. You could watch the movie but be prepared for the negatives.
