Wish I Could Think of a Title
Writer's block is a condition in which an author (or in this case a blogger) loses the ability to produce new work or experiences a creative slowdown.
Even Charles M. Schultz, the great cartoonist, experienced writer’s block during his career. Writersdigest.com lists seven ways to overcome writer’s block: Step away from whatever you are writing and do anything that is creative. Do free writing. Move your body. Eliminate distractions. Write early in the morning. Write while

SpongeBob SquarePants Movie: Video Game
I recently bought an oldie but goodie, the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie video game for Nintendo GameCube. The game is based on the real movie. The goal/objective is to retrieve King Neptune's crown from Shell City in Bikini Bottom. The crown was stolen by Plankton. When Neptune finds out, he freezes Mr. Krabs and therefore Plankton is able to sell krabby patties. So SpongeBob, with Patrick, has to set out to get the crown back, and they only have 6 days to get it! Backgrou

That's the Way the Cookie Crumbles!
What can we say about cookies … they are delicious! There are so many kinds … chocolate chip, vanilla wafers, macaroons, ginger snaps, even fortune cookies! While eating a cookie, I wondered who made the first cookie. What is the history of the cookie? Do you know? Wikipedia says: Cookie-like hard wafers have existed for as long as baking is documented, in part because they deal with travel very well, but they were usually not sweet enough to be considered cookies by moder

The Jungle Book Again
This weekend I am going to see the new Disney movie The Jungle Book. The Jungle Book is a story by Rudyard Kipling. Disney made the original Jungle Book movie in 1967, 2 years after Walt Disney's death. It was the 19th animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series. The 2016 version of The Jungle Book is a live action/CGI film which combines real people with computer-generated images. The new version is not exactly like the original animated feature and not ex

Breathe, Sing, Breathe
This is an update on my singing classes with Giana. Click here if you want to read that post. In my singing class, I am working on learning how to breathe when I sing. I am learning to read music. I'm also practicing my songs for the upcoming Spectrum play, Bye-Bye Birdie. Giana says my chromatic scales are impeccable and my pitch is great. Singing class is challenging, but fantastic!

Achoo!
It's allergy season ... and they're a drag! My eyes are red and itchy, my nose is stuffed up like a jammed water sprinkler, my brain is tired and I can't concentrate. Are any of you allergy sufferers? If so, you know what I mean. Here are a few things I do to try and feel better: Blow my nose! Take a hot bath and/or shower! Take an Allegra D! Use eye drops! Drink warm liquids: tea, coffee, etc.! Drink juice! Make sure I get enough sleep. If you know of any tricks that work

Love is Forever
A Tribute to Joey My blog today is a tribute to the memory of Joey, who was my friend Caitlin's horse. He passed away recently. I asked my friend Caitlin to tell me about Joey, and here are some of the things she said: "He was the best horse. I loved him very much. He ate lots of carrots and oats. He was born on May 21st, 1981." Although Caitlin misses Joey very much, she has some great memories of the times she spent with him and that is what she will remember. #community
